Diabetics at Jamba Juice:

Eating good food at the right time can control your blood sugar, also stop you from craving wrong sort of food. Jamba Juice offers drinks in three separate sizes: 16, 24, and 32-ounce. You can choose the lowest serving size and cut down on sugars and calorie intake. If you're diabetic and concerned about the sugar intake, then you can opt for the smaller 9.5-ounce smoothies available for kids at Jamba Juice.

Foods to Avoid at Jamba Juice for Diabetics:

Jamba Juice is primarily known for its highly satisfying and nutritive smoothies and juices. Almost every smoothie and juice item on the Jamba Juice menu contains sugar. Diabetics are recommended to opt for smaller serving size while ordering at Jamba Juice. Also, avoid opting for creamy treats as all the smoothies offered in this category contain a load of sugars.

Keep the sugar content below 50g per meal at Jamba Juice and ensure that you don't follow it with a heavy meal. A small size regular smoothie is equivalent to a meal for everyone. Classic smoothies at Jamba Juice are also heavily loaded with sugars. Stay away from that section if you are a diabetic.

Ahh yes, the perfect place for some Tuesday night excellent shitty Chinese food. Two steps above mall food, ideal for take-out and watching Dexter Season One. House lo mein was delish, with generous amounts of meat and shrimp. Orange chicken was also awesome, with lots o' broccoli and a bit of a spicy kick. Yummy sauces, high-quality plastic forks (very important to the take-out experience), and four fortune cookies. This isn't fancy or upscale--questionable in its quality, and unquestionably delicious. If you want cheap Chinese food, you've found the place.

This place is unfairly judged by it's decor. Ordered from them several times and been very happy with what I received. My favorite is the shrimp Lo mein, they really overload the large serving with shrimp. Tastes excellent!

Ordered once but giving 5stars based on the sea of mediocre to sketchy spots, this really is the best chinese delivery I've had in neighborhood by far. Got hot n sour soup, hunan style chicken and chicken chow fun. All of it super tasty.

The food is the best Chinese take out around Greenpoint. I've ordered a couple of times in the past 7 months and I've never been dissatisfied with the food. At a glance, the place makes you kindda rethink why your ordering from them, they could invest in remodeling the restaurant , but who cares! the food is great, I recommend the shrimp and broccoli with lobster sauce.

Strangely, I really love this place. Truthfully, our food is always better if we go in and order our takeout rather than getting delivery, but it's still always good. I get General Tso's shrimp cooked extra crispy and they always make it perfect. Bf gets a variety of fried rices, chicken and beef dishes and he's always happy. Veg dumplings are DELISH! Normally I would knock down some stars due to the fact that the dining room is scary enough that I would never eat in but I don't sit there to eat anyway. The kitchen itself looks clean.

This place has always been amazing, This is the only place I will get Chinese Food from in Greenpoint. I always get the chicken with broccoli and garlic sauce on top-- You can actually taste the garlic sauce not like at other places. The vegetable Lo Mein is fresh and they have a lot of vegetables in it. The Wonton Soup is delicious, during the winter time it's the best to keep you warm. The General Tao's is Great! The price is very reasonable too. I never ate at the place since it's not that appealing and very plain, but the place is huge and clean.

Yeah, it's Chinese fast food and is basically 'junk', but if that's what you're looking for, Fortune Cookies is perfect and I don't mean that in an insulting way at all. I have times where I just want some quick, cheap Chinese grub and Fortune Cookies is the best place in Northern Brooklyn for it. I always get the Sweet and Sour Chicken Combo and it's made quick and tastes nice. The chicken, surprisingly, doesn't taste artificial and the fried rice is nice and greasy (like you would want it to be). The women behind the counter aren't the friendliest, and when you call the place sometimes, it sounds like the woman on the phone automatically hates you, but they're amazingly fast and diligent workers. I prefer that over a welcoming place with crap food. Quick delivery too, of course. So, yeah, greasy, cheap Chinese fast food... but they're fantastic at it.

I ordered two things. The first was scallion pancake and it was the worst one I've ever had. I also got the shredded beef szechuan style. It was significantly better than the scallion pancake, but nothing special.

  • Sam B.

Alright, so I ordered their Chicken Chowmein, and I get lettuce and chicken, with rice on the side. Please tell me how the hell that is Chicken Chowmein? Its supposed to come with noodles. Anyway, my sister bought the sweet and sour chicken as well and we also got the wonton soup. When you call for sweet and sour chicken, ask them to put it on the side otherwise they will douse it on your chicken (looks disgusting when you open the box). Their standard Chinese food is alright but um, don't get Chicken Chowmein, I feel kind of jewed on my purchase.

Best takeout/delivery Chinese place in the neighborhood. Cheap, clean, convenient. Always satisfied, and a friendly staff

Summary : "Fortune Cookie Chinese Kitchen, where we do not give you fortune cookies." I DO write positive reviews for places I enjoy and appreciate, so this is not just a gripe, but I must say I was not happy with the food here. I do give it 2 stars, and would say the food is "halfway decent," but will not call them again. I live nearby and I chose delivery because a friend who was over said they liked this place. I had seen how poorly the management maintains the business space, with the frayed awning, graffiti, flickering fluorescent lights, dingy floors, walls, and faded illuminated menu. So I definitely did not want to go in there. It was not a terrible experience, just a two-star experience. I am definitely going to order from East Meet West next time, or try another place. $20+tip bought us 2 entrees with white rice, 1 appetizer each, and a can of coke. --This place does not offer brown rice. --Some of my white rice was a little crunchy. --The dumplings are huge; they are made with very thick pasty dough, truly unappetizing. --I had egg foo yung, which was decent (and the reason for the 2nd star). --We did not receive any fortune cookies from "Fortune Cookie Chinese Kitchen" --I enjoyed the can of coke. I was sure to wash the top and pour it into a glass. And use a straw. --Portions were generous! If you are only interested in inserting substances into your body and only care about quantity & price, this place may interest you. I know that "it's just a chinese restaurant, not a vegan hipster foody place." However, I haven't heard of any Chinese restaurant, cheap or otherwise, without brown rice in at least 10 years. Besides, $10 can buy you a much tastier meal with soda at many other local restaurants. PASS

Feels like walking into GTA restaurant, crazy not decorated, they don't care about decor- but- they are super sweet and will make you some delish Chinese food. Not gourmet, just American Takeout goodness. Portions are generous, rice is sticky and fresh. They throw in a TON of canned pineapple if you order enough- take it home and blend it with rum for a full experience.

    (4)
  • Sam K.

The food is fine but won't win any awards. Delivery is amazingly fast

    (3)
  • Kai B.

I've had nothing but good experiences with the food here. I have generally gone with the combo-style menus which include an egg roll. You get a large heaping plate of food and it only costs around $7.15. The more traditional "pint" of food with rice is about $2 cheaper. The dining room has seen better days. There is graffiti all over the ordering counter area - someone even tagged their computer monitor. But what really counts for a take-out oriented restaurant is the food and the price, and Fortune Cookies excels at that.

Oh Fortune Cookie, you hurt me so good.

hope you like chinese food! cause that is what you are going to get here. it is good and cheap and quick! just like me

  • Jesse K.

This place is disgusting. I'm not exaggerating -- visit the place yourself before ordering delivery. The rice is always soggy and tasteless, the chicken is questionable the sauces the lowest quality. Millions of other Chinese options, skip this place.

    (1)
  • Heath R.

Average Chinese food, largely meant for takeout or delivery. The dining room is nondescript and reminiscent of a cafeteria. Meals are served on styrofoam plates, and the forks are plasticware. Specializing in Szechuan dishes, Cookies does have quite a substantial menu. I tried the shrimp and chicken with cashew nuts on white rice, and a roast pork egg roll. Total price, about $10.50. The food is OK, and just that. The small chicken pieces are pretty heavily fried and almost seem tofu like. While I prefer my chicken fresher, it was tasty enough, and I could only eat half, so taking home the leftovers for lunch or dinner later this week, I cut the price of my dinner in half. $10 for two meals; not bad. Regardless, there's really no reason to go here instead of another run-of-the-mill Chinese joint other than convenience.

  • Dee E.

This place is aweful! I ordered spicy pepper shrimp with white rice, and they sent me shrimp swimming in ketchup, (with a few .99Cent LaFlor pepper flakes)! I called to complain, and tough luck, that is the recipy. Plus this place looks nasty!

Regularly shitty cheap China foo they deliver fast and it's great for a hangover I would not recommend this to impress anyone

I really like the chicken wings, the price is reasonable. but the noodle is just OK. I will order wings again.

Always good then and now. Cash only but totally worth it. Best spare ribs, hot and sour soup and noodles in the neighborhood. Huge dumplings.
